Business boom at organic and millets mela

THE HINDU – 20 January 2019

The second edition of the Organic and Millets International Trade Fair 2019 has generated business worth ₹240.25 crore for its participants, more than double the transactions that were seen in the maiden edition held last year.

The fair, which promotes organic and millet products, came to an end on Sunday. More than 59,511 metric tonnes were sold through business-to-business meetings and stall sales. Last year, the first edition of the fair had seen a business of ₹107 crore.

The three day fair that began on Friday is expected to witness see 50,000 visitors and 10,000 delegates.
